Estoril grew around the casino and the Estoril Park, and that scale is still felt today: tree-lined avenues, restored mansions and the seafront promenade that links Tamariz beach to Cascais.
It is an area of villas and well-built apartments, sought by those who want peace without giving up being ten minutes from Cascais and thirty from Lisbon. Monte Estoril, on the hillside, has some of the most sought-after sea views on the coast.
